The study involved 120 men and women who were aged between 25 – 75 years, the results concluded that Krill Oil outperformed Fish Oil in reducing bad (LDL) cholesterol and high triglicerides, as well as increasing good (HDL) cholesterol.
The doseage amounts used in the study was 1-1.5 grams (2-3 Soft Gels) of Krill Oil which concluded that it was more successful in reducing Bad (LDL) cholesterol and triglicerides than three times the amount (3 grams) of Fish Oil.

What is Krill Oil?
The Krill is a shrimp like crustacean which is around 1 to 6 cm long, they are found in the colder oceans of the world namely the Antarctic and North Pacific. The oil which is extracted contains high concentrations of Omega 3 fatty acids, this is one reason why it is becoming so popular.
In fish oil omega 3 fatty acids are found in trigliceride form where in Krill Oil thay are in a double chain phospholipid structure, this is the same structure as the fats in our own cell walls. There is also no aftertaste or “fishy burps” when you take Krill Oil.
With this information it is easy to see why this new kid on the block could easily surpass fish oil.
