For some reason it is generally thought that men are more likely to have high blood pressure but that’s the old school way of thinking.
High blood pressure might be more dangerous for women than men, a new study suggests. As a result, women may need earlier and more aggressive treatment. Although deaths due to heart disease have dropped dramatically among men over the past three decades, the same is not true for women, the researchers noted. On the contrary, heart disease is a leading cause of death among women, according to the news release.
